Elwood Haynes Museum
Celebrate the "City of Firsts" at the former home of Elwood Haynes, who invented the first commercially successful gasoline-powered automobile right here in Kokomo.
Industrial Heritage Trail
The Industrial Heritage Trail is a local rail-with-trail linking together Kokomo's historic industrial sites and Downtown. Trail provides resting spaces throughout, including one near a piece of public art near Kokomo Opalescent Glass. Ideal for bicycling, walking, and running. The Industrial Heritage Trail connects to the Nickel Plate Trail (40+ miles of paved trail from Kokomo on north to Rochester) by a pedestrian bridge over Indiana 931 on the north side of Kokomo.
Seiberling Mansion and Howard County Museum
A list of Indiana' great mansions would undoubtedly include Kokomo' stunning Seiberling Mansion, built in 1891 by industrialist Monroe Seiberling, who came to Kokomo during the Indiana gas boom of the late 19th century and built several large factories in the region. Over the last 100 years, the Seiberling Mansion has been a residence, university, and today a beautiful historic landmark and home of the Howard County Museum. Features include late-Victorian architecture, hand-carved woodwork, and multiple exhibits throughout highlighting the history of Howard County. Open Tuesday - Sunday from 1-4pm. Admission $10 adults and $5 for students ages 18 & under. Closed in January. The holidays are an extra special time to visit the Howard County Museum. "Christmas at the Seiberling" starts the Saturday evening after Thanksgiving and run through Dec. 31. Group tours are scheduled by appointment.

Jackson Morrow Park
Spanning 100 acres, this park offers a nature preserve, walking trails, and the Kirkendall Nature Center—ideal for families and teams looking for some fresh air between events.
Kokomo Beach Family Aquatic Center
Cool off during the summer months with high-speed slides, a lazy river, and a splash pad for the little ones.
Highland Park
Highland Park is one of the most popular parks in Kokomo. This park offers a large main playground with specialty handicap accessible play equipment as well as three smaller playgrounds which includes a tot lot, a private rental building, outdoor-roofed picnic shelters, open area picnic tables, many outdoor grills, basketball courts, multi-use tennis and pickleball courts, horseshoe courts and a disc golf course. This park also has two youth baseball practice fields as well as the Highland Baseball Stadium which hosts several games and tournaments.
There are four restroom facilities, two concessions, many parking areas and historical sites such as the Vermont Covered Bridge, Old Ben (the world's largest steer), the Sycamore Stump, the Civil War Cannon and the Indian Trails. The Kokomo Creek wanders through this park, splitting around a small island with a walk bridge that is popular for weddings as well as a Gazebo where the creek swells into a large pond area.
The Highland Stage is also located in this park hosting the Kokomo Park Band. This park is one of the sites for the department's Summer Playground Program during the summer as well as Craft Fest, and a free water spray event.
There are also several areas of the park that are popular for sledding during winter months.
Kokomo Family YMCA
The Kokomo Family YMCA is located in downtown Kokomo. Fitness and recreational activities include swimming, basketball, group fitness classes, yoga and much more. YMCA memberships from around the country are honored.
